Every custom piece starts at the table.

Iron Needle opened on Sunset in 2017 with two artists and a wall of flash. Custom work still starts the same way. You sit down with your artist, talk through the idea and the placement, and leave with a price range. The drawing is ready on the day, and nothing gets tattooed until you are happy with it.

  • A free consult before any custom work. You see the drawing before the needle comes out.
  • A price range agreed at the table, before you pay a deposit.
  • Free touch-ups within 60 days of your session.

From the chair

Rosa redrew my sketch three times until the stems sat right on my arm. She never rushed me, and it healed clean.

Alana T. · Echo Park

Walked in on a Saturday for a piece off the wall and was out in an hour. Straight answer on price before we started.

Marcus B. · Silver Lake

Theo covered an old band I had hated for ten years. Nobody can tell anything was under it.

Chris D. · Client since 2022

Good to know

Do you take walk-ins?

For flash, yes, on Fridays and Saturdays when an artist is free. Custom work is booked through a consult so the drawing is ready on the day.

How does the deposit work?

A $100 deposit holds your date and comes off the final price. Give us 48 hours notice to move the appointment and the deposit carries over.

Do I need ID?

Yes. You must be 18 or older with a government photo ID. We do not tattoo minors, even with a parent present.

How should I prepare?

Eat a real meal, sleep well, and skip alcohol for a day before. Wear clothes that give easy access to the spot.
