Terms

How a project with me works once money is involved. Your written quote is part of this agreement, and where the two differ, the quote wins. Paying a deposit, or any payment link I send you, means you accept these terms.

Who you are dealing with

LetsLaunch is a business name of Project Array LLC, a California limited liability company. It is the name I, Jacob, use for website work. “I” and “me” on this page mean that business.

Your quote

Every project is quoted. Before any work starts you get the scope and a fixed price in writing. That price does not change for the scope we agreed.

If you want something added later, I quote the addition first and only build it once you agree.

Paying

A project is paid in two parts: a deposit before I start, and a final payment before the site goes live. The amount of each is in your quote.

You pay on a private link on this site. Whop, the payment processor, takes the payment and emails your receipt. Your card details go to Whop and never to me.

The site goes live, or is handed over, once the final payment has been made.

Refunds

Work begins when your deposit is paid. The deposit pays for the time I set aside and the work that starts with it, so it is not refundable after that, unless I cancel the project.

If I cancel, or cannot finish what we agreed, I refund everything you paid for work I did not deliver.

The final payment is not refundable once the site is live or has been handed over.

If you were charged twice or charged the wrong amount, tell me and I refund the difference in full.

Plugd pages

A Plugd page is a plan, billed every month or every year from the day you sign up. Yearly plans include setup; monthly plans add a one-time setup fee to the first charge. Coachbuilt, a page designed from scratch for you, is a one-time fee on the first charge instead of the setup fee. If the first look is not right for you, tell me before the page goes live and I refund everything you paid.

After launch you can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops every future charge; charges already made are not refunded, and your page stays up until the end of the period you paid for, then goes offline. Pages from before plans existed (paid once) stay up as agreed.

Ready-made sites

A ready-made site from the templates page is $499.99, paid in full at checkout. I set it up with your details and photos and send it to you to check. One round of changes is included before it goes live.

Turnaround: when your details and photos reach me by 12 p.m. Pacific on a business day (Monday to Friday, not public holidays), I send you the finished site to check the same day, by 9 p.m. Pacific. Details that arrive later are done the next business day. The clock starts when I have everything the site needs, so missing details or photos move it to when they arrive. Your round of changes is done the same way, by the next business day at the latest. Once you approve, the site goes live on its web address within the hour; your own domain can take up to 48 hours to work everywhere after its records are set, which is outside my control.

Refunds: if you ask before I start setting up your site, I refund the full $499.99. After that, if I cannot make the changes you asked for in your round of changes, I refund it in full. Once the site is live, the payment is not refundable.

The price covers the template you chose with your text, photos, prices and colors. A different layout, extra pages or new features are a custom project, quoted separately before any work. A domain is not included.

Hosting and upkeep is included and required: $49.99 every 30 days, starting 30 days after checkout. It covers hosting, security and software updates, and up to 30 minutes of small edits a month, such as new hours, prices or photos. Bigger changes are quoted first. Unused edit time does not carry over.

Late payment: if a monthly payment is declined, you get an email right away with a link to pay, and a reminder two days later. If it is still unpaid three days after it was declined, the site goes offline. Nothing is deleted, and it comes back online by itself as soon as the payment goes through.

Cancel upkeep the same way as any upkeep (below). Your site stays online until the end of the 30 days you have paid for. After that I send you the site's files so you can host it anywhere. The site is yours either way.

Custom one-page sites

A custom one-page site is $799, paid in full at checkout. It is one page designed for your business, built from the details and examples you send me. The same rules as ready-made sites apply: one round of changes before it goes live, a full refund if you ask before I start, a full refund if I cannot make the changes you asked for, and no refund once it is live. Hosting and upkeep is included at $49.99 every 30 days on the same terms. More pages, a store or other features are a custom project, quoted separately.

Monthly upkeep

Upkeep is optional and is quoted separately. If you take it, you are charged the amount in your quote on the day you start and again every 30 days until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time. Cancel online on the cancel page or in your Whop account, or call or text me. Cancelling stops every future charge, and upkeep continues to the end of the 30 days you have paid for.

Charges already made are not refunded. If a charge goes through after you asked me to cancel, I refund it.

Stopping a project

You can stop a project at any time by telling me. You owe nothing further, and the refund terms above apply to what you have already paid.

What I need from you

Your copy, photos, logins and decisions, when the project needs them. A launch date is something we set together for your scope, and it moves if the things I am waiting on arrive late.

You are responsible for having the right to use whatever you give me to put on your site: photos, logos, text, names. If someone makes a claim about that material, it is yours to answer and to cover.

Who owns the site

Once the final payment is made, the finished site is yours: its design, its content and the code I wrote for it. Your domain and any accounts opened in your name stay yours throughout.

I keep the right to reuse my general methods and components in other work. Open-source parts and licensed fonts or photos stay under their own licences.

Services your site runs on, such as hosting, a booking tool or a payment processor, belong to the companies that run them and come with their own terms and fees. After launch, and unless you take monthly upkeep, keeping those services paid and the site updated is yours. I can quote changes whenever you want them.

I may show the finished site as an example of my work. Tell me if you would rather I did not.

What I do not promise

I build the site we agreed. For 30 days after launch I fix faults in my work at no charge. Beyond that the site is provided as built, with no other promises.

I do not promise a search ranking, a number of customers or a level of sales, and I am not responsible for outages at a company your site depends on.

If something goes wrong that is my fault, the most I owe you is what you paid me in the 12 months before the problem, except where the law does not allow a limit.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of California. Any dispute is heard in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.

If I change these terms, the version in force when you paid is the one that applies to you.
